Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Canter, a mobile application operated by Golden Gate Equestrian ("GGE," "we," "us"). By using Canter you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Accounts & access
Canter access is provided through participating barns. You sign in with your email via a one-time link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for activity under your account.
Age. By accepting these Terms you confirm you are at least 18. If a rider is a minor, a parent, guardian, or the barn must create and manage the account and accept these Terms on the minor's behalf.
Acceptable use
- Use Canter only for lawful, barn-related purposes.
- Do not attempt to access data belonging to barns or people you are not authorized to see.
- Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
Your content & barn data
Barns and their members enter data such as horses, care schedules, and show entries. That data belongs to the barn and its members; GGE processes it to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter.
Eligibility & competition information
Canter may present horse-show eligibility and points information as a convenience. It is provided "as is" and is not an official determination. Always confirm eligibility with USEF and the relevant show or governing body. GGE is not responsible for competition decisions made in reliance on the app.
Availability & changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. During beta/TestFlight periods the service may be incomplete or interrupted. We may revise these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Canter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GGE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Apple
These Terms are between you and Golden Gate Equestrian only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Canter or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Canter, and no warranty obligations. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. prohibited-parties list.
Golden Gate Equestrian, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Canter or your use of it — including product-liability claims, any claim that Canter fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection or privacy law. In the event of a third-party claim that Canter or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, Golden Gate Equestrian, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Canter will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
